Create Your Own 3D Figure with AI — Tokyo Workshop with English Support

Imagine a character. Design it with AI. Turn it into a figure you can hold.

Looking for a creative experience in Tokyo? Join us at 3DLab in Yushima for a 2-hour workshop combining generative AI and 3D printing. Create an original character or mascot with guidance from our instructors, and watch a 3D printer in action.

English support available. Beginners welcome. This session offers the same creative experience as our regular figure workshop, with English support for participants who prefer to communicate in English. English-speaking residents of Japan are especially welcome, whether you come on your own or with a friend.

Please note: Your finished figure will be printed and mailed after the workshop. A delivery address in Japan where you can receive the parcel is required. You cannot take the finished figure home on the day. We aim to dispatch it within two weeks; delivery time is additional. Shipping is available within Japan only.

What you will do

• Discover how 3D printers work and what you can make with them.
• Use generative AI to develop your own character or mascot design.
• Explore the process of turning your design into 3D data, with instructor guidance.
• See a live 3D printer demonstration and learn how a digital design becomes a physical object.

The workshop covers AI-assisted design and 3D modeling. Printing your finished piece takes longer and is completed after the session.

Your original figure

You will receive one original 3D-printed figure or mascot, approximately 10 cm tall, in white. Develop your own character or use a photo or drawing as inspiration. Instructors will help you adapt your idea to the workshop's size and printing limits. Paid options are also available; please ask us for details.

Who can join?

No previous experience with AI, design, or 3D printing is needed. Our instructors will support you at your own pace, including help with computer operation. Adults and solo participants are welcome.

Children of elementary-school age and above may also join. Elementary-school children must be accompanied by one parent or guardian. The accompanying adult counts as one participant and must be included in the number of seats booked.
